Special Opportunities
Blessings in a Backpack
A program that helps make sure students have enough food to eat over the weekend. Each week, a backpack is filled with easy-to-make meals and snacks, and the students take it home to enjoy with their families. This helps make sure no child goes hungry, so they can come to school ready to learn and feel their best.
Lunch Buddies
The Lunch Buddy Mentor Program pairs adult volunteers with students to be their special friends during lunchtime. Each week, the volunteer spends time eating with a student, talking, playing, and helping them feel comfortable and happy at school. It's a way for students to build connections with adults, make new friends and feel supported.
Parents English Learning Class
The Parents English Learning Class is a program designed to help parents improve their English skills so they can better support their children’s learning. The class provides a welcoming space where parents can practice speaking, reading and writing in English with the help of teachers.
Study Connection
A program that provides students with extra academic support to help them succeed in school. Volunteers work one-on-one or in small groups with students to assist with homework, study skills and understanding difficult subjects. It's a great way for students to get the extra help they need to achieve their best!
